Under the Turk and Caicos Islands Government Fuel Factor Relief program, the Fuel Factor rate remains capped at US$0.22 per kWh for eligible residential customers from July through October 2026. This means that eligible residential customers will pay only 22 cents per kilowatt hour used, regardless of changes to the Fuel Factor rate during this period. The TCI Government pays the difference, or the remaining amount, directly to the utility company on behalf of eligible customers.
If you are not eligible for the TCI Government Fuel Factor Relief Subsidy, then actual fuel factor rates apply. Customers not meeting the Government's eligibility criteria—including commercial, industrial, government, and some residential accounts with a rolling three-month average bill of $1,500 or more—continue to pay the full Fuel Factor rate that applies to their island.
