Disconnection of Electricity Service

Pelican Energy TCI can disconnect electricity service for the following reasons:

  • At the customer's request, which must be made by submitting a Closure of Account form at a customer service location.
  • For non-payment of invoice or account in arrears.
  • Unauthorized use of electricity supply (illegal connection).

Once a service is disconnected, there is a charge of $50.00 for reconnection. The reconnection fee must be paid with the account balance before service is reinstated. Reconnections usually take 24 to 48 hours to complete after payment is received.
