Fuel factor rates have declined over the past few months and February's electricity bills have decreased once again by up to 3% across some service territories. The fuel factor rate on electricity bills rises and falls with market fuel prices.
For February, the fuel factor rate for Providenciales, North Caicos, and Middle Caicos customers will decrease by 2% from the prior month's $0.1568 to $0.1532 per kilowatt hour ("kWh").
Grand Turk and Salt Cay customers' fuel factor rate will reflect another 3% decrease from the prior month's $0.1543 to $0.1498 per kWh.
This month's fuel factor rate for South Caicos will become available soon. South Caicos fuel factor rate for last month (January) decreased by 3% from the prior month’s $0.1671 to $0.1626 per kWh.
