Dear Valued Customer,

Here’s what to expect on this month's power bill:

  • Providenciales, North Caicos and Middle Caicos: A 3.4% increase to $0.1658 per kilowatt hour (kWh).
  • Grand Turk and Salt Cay: A 2.8% increase to $0.1569 per kWh.
  • South Caicos: The fuel factor rate for this island will be available soon. Last month (February), the rate increased by 2.8% to $0.1728 per kWh.

We're Monitoring Trends In Global Fuel Markets

Global fuel prices have been rising recently due to geopolitical events, including the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. This has disrupted major fuel supply routes, such as the Strait of Hormuz near Iran, impacting global fuel markets.?

Because we rely on imported fuel to generate electricity, these market conditions can influence fuel costs in TCI, and we are monitoring the situation closely. The fuel factor rate on your electricity bill moves with international fuel prices, rising when prices increase and falling when they decline.

Given these evolving conditions, we will continue to monitor fuel price trends and keep customers informed of any developments that may affect fuel costs in TCI.
